Doctor of Pharmacy – Fifth Professional Year (5th Year)
The fifth and final professional year of the Pharm.D program focuses on advanced concepts in clinical practice, drug design, pharmaceutical technology, legal aspects, and management, shaping students into well-rounded pharmacy professionals ready for diverse roles in healthcare and industry.
Theory Subjects:
Pharmaceutical Chemistry-IV (Medicinal Chemistry) – Explores the design, synthesis, and mechanism of action of therapeutic agents, linking chemical structure to pharmacological activity.
Pharmacy Practice-V (Advanced Clinical Pharmacy-II) – Builds on clinical pharmacy principles, focusing on evidence-based therapy, patient care planning, and clinical decision-making.
Pharmaceutics-VII (Pharmaceutical Technology) – Covers modern pharmaceutical manufacturing techniques, drug delivery systems, and formulation development.
Pharmacy Practice-VI (Forensic Pharmacy) – Provides understanding of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and ethical issues related to drug control and healthcare practice.
Pharmacy Practice-VII (Pharmaceutical Management and Marketing) – Focuses on business and management principles in pharmacy, including marketing strategies, supply chain management, and entrepreneurship.
